Over his 40-year career, Don worked in finance and human resources for the Bank of Nova Scotia, Canada Cycle and Motor Co. (CCM), Avro Canada, United Appeal (United Way), Ford Canada, Cooper Sports Canada and Ultramar. Don retired in 1988 and has lived in Petawawa, Ont., since.
