As a teenager, Lois Broad loved to go dancing at the Ramona — a dance hall run by two cousins above a store at 2271A Bloor St. W. There were high-school dances, of course, but the Ramona was her favourite.
Born in 1927, Lois has vivid memories of growing up in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood, which she shares in her documentary Growing Up in the Junction and through the Mapping our Memories project.
