She remembers early days, looking at books with her mom. Then came comics followed by weekly visits to the Etobicoke Book Mobile, which used to come and park where the Brentwood Library branch is now. There she discovered chapter books, starting with the Bobbsey Twins. Maureen’s early introduction to reading and her passion for books eventually led to her career – as a teacher-librarian.
